This session will outline the key features of ACER’s assessment: PAT Spelling Skills. PAT Spelling Skills will help educators better understand students’ spelling skills so they can target teaching where it’s needed most. We will also review the PAT Spelling Skills Teaching Resource Centre content which can be used to assist teachers utilising and incorporating spelling practices in the classroom. The session explains how and why the assessment was developed and explains how teachers can read and analyse their students’ reports.
